Attendance
Attendance at
lectures is mandatory in order to succeed in this class. Attendance will
not be taken, however we expect you to be present and on time.
Experience has shown that excessive absences will adversely affect your
final grade. If you must miss class, it is your responsibility to get
the notes from a classmate.
Assignments
The assignments of this course will
be in the form of milestones delivery. A milestone will contain a number
of tasks. Each milestone will be delivered in a biweekly manner ( each
two weeks). This will give the students enough time to read in depth
about the tasks that they are required to develop and implement them.
Teams
Each team will contain a maximum of 5
students. Each team is responsible for the tasks organization for each
milestone.
Team Members Evaluation
After the deadline of the milestone, each student will be required
to present the work that he did. The TA
will a have a checklist for each task in the milestone and will ask
each student
in a team about his work. If a student fails to acknowledge his work he
will be given two warnings after which he would be exempted from the
course.
Grading
Policy
The grading will be based on the
milestones and tasks that are delivered by each team. Each student in
the team will be graded according to the tasks that he did in each
milestone. At the end of the course, the students will be required to
make a complete presentation of their project, where the final grade for
each student will be finalized.
Academic
Honesty (Plagiarism)
The work submitted
for grading must be your own work. It is reasonable to discuss with
others possible general approaches to problems. It is unreasonable to
work together on a detailed solution, to copy a solution, or to give
away a solution. Such instances of academic dishonesty may result in a
course grade of Fail. Submitting a work that is not your own work is
considered academic dishonesty.
